owl on found wood

this is an experiment in owl designs.  i found quite a bit of scrap
wood on a walk and washed a few a nice light blue.

my friend dan plays guitar in the clams and the casserole
here in wilmington, nc. he is a strange string wizard and asked me
to lay a fresh coat on his vintage rat distortion pedal.

the dance element is putting on another summer camp with the fog machines,
animal costumes, and dance magic dance. we'll probably work up show posters
and t-shirts from this poster design.

i believe it is important, and perhaps inevitable that creative
folks have many experiments all going on, all the time.  you learn
to make yourself create when and where it is needed, for the
morning deadline or the years long painting project.  but it is also
nice to let the sketches flow with the inspiration of the moment.
